Raymond K. Moore, 62, of Shelbyville died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at his residence.
Born Sept. 15, 1948, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Walter “Bud” and Dorothy (Polley) Moore.
Survivors include his mother of Rushville; daughters, Jodi (husband, Terry) Hansome, Amy Moore (companion, Brett Cooper) and Kelly Taylor, all of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Ryan Hansome, Haley Hansome, Emily Moore and Matthew Taylor; and a brother, Kevin Moore of Franklin. He also left behind his companion dog, Peanut.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Larry Moore; and a grandson, Christopher Taylor.
Mr. Moore had been employed by F & M Oil in Finley for 20 years, then worked for Boring Construction as a heavy equipment operator, retiring from L.S. Underground Boring of Greenfield in 2008.
He enjoyed collector antique tractor shows.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ron Ellis officiating.
Burial will be in the Liberty United Methodist Cemetery in Shelby County.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 9445 Delegates Row, Indianapolis IN 46240.
