Carolyn Shepard, 77, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at her daughter’s residence in Shelbyville.


Born April 11, 1939, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Earl Walton and Thelma (Miles) Walton. Carolyn married William Shepard on May 23, 1980, and he preceded her in death June 10, 2007.


Carolyn is survived by seven children: Karen Berry and husband, Marvin; Lisa Rohrman and husband, Mark; Sheri Richardson; Larry Harding; Michael Shepard; Laura Losey; and William Blocher and wife, Susan; stepchildren: Teaki Markley, Steven Shepard, Stormy Jimenez, Beth Hudson, Lisa Welch and Christi Gadd; 10 grandchildren; and10 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by one grandchild, two sisters, one brother and stepson, Jimmy Shepard.


She worked for Knauf Fiberglass for 26 years until her retirement.


Mrs. Shepard looked forward to yearly vacation to Las Vegas. Her grandchildren always had a very special place in her life.


Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.


Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at the funeral home with Robert Prather officiating.


Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.


Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Shepard.

Carolyn's Children,
I am so sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. We had lost contact but she was always one of my favorite people. I have good memories spent with you all during the younger years..
