Norma Case, 85, of Shelbyville, passed way Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at her residence.
Born Aug. 28, 1931, in Jamestown , Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Travis McFarland and the late Lucy Oreta Dowell. She married George Robert Case on Jan. 19, 1952, and he preceded her in death.
Surviving is one sister, Mary Ellen (McFarland) Crawley.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Brenda Lee Case Dalrymple; brothers, Billy Travis McFarland, Ralph Murray McFarland and Jimmie Rudolph McFarland; sisters, Ruby Earlene (McFarland) Griswold, Garnett Helen (McFarland) Sluder and Jeanette McFarland.
Norma was employed at Overhead Door and retired from there.
Norma spent her whole life in the Indianapolis area. She spent many enjoyable hours playing poker with her family and the Dalrymples. Norma was always very outspoken. She was a wonderful mother and wife and will sorely missed by all.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Merry Popplewell officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Ms. Case.
