Pauline Jacobs

 

Pauline Jacobs, 65, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, at her residence.

 

Born Sept. 4, 1950, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Robert D. Dixon and Fern E. (Rutherford) Dixon. Pauline was married to Roy Jacobs Sr. on June 23, 1970, and he survives.

 

Pauline was a true servant for the Salvation Army Corps, where she volunteered for over 50 years.

 

Pauline cherished her family and was always looking out for the them. She was a true animal lover.

 

Surviving are son, Roy Jacobs Jr. and wife, Laura, of Shelbyville; daughters: Roxanna

Icenogle and husband, John, of Shelbyville; and Marcia Geiling and husband, Barry; brother, Eddie Dixon of New Mexico; sisters, Blanche Gibson of Danville and Barb Steele of Fairland and Dolly Jacobs of Shelbyville; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

 

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Polly Ward; three sisters; and two brothers.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services at 703 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

 

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at the funeral home, with Lt. Steve DeLacy officiating.

 

Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Memorial Program, 136 E. Washington St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Jacobs.
