Eva Lee Keel, 89, of Shelbyville, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 6, 2016, with family surrounding her bed.
She was born July 9, 1926, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, the daughter of Lee Randolph and Beluah (Roberts) Randolph. She was married to Richard D. Keel on Jan. 4, 1941, and he preceded her in death in 1998.
Mrs. Keel is survived by son, Kenneth “Bud” Keel and wife, Jean, of Shelbyville; brother, Elbert Randolph of Spokane, Washington; seven grandchildren: Dave White and wife, Diane; James Keel and Mike White; Heidi Smith and husband, Cecil; Angie Hendrickson and husband, Phil; Charlie Keel and wife, Olivia; Tim Goff and wife, Betty; and Tonya Shearer; nephew, Lonnie Anderson; several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her companion dog, Precious.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Martha Branson; son, Thomas Keel; grandson, Brett Keel; and eight siblings.
Eva was a homemaker and she belonged to Hope's Point Baptist Church. She was a devoted Christian, always willing to serve the Lord. She took great pride in cooking and always enjoyed going to garage sales.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Robert Prather and David Humphrey officiating.
Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
