Charles David Boger, 41, of Manilla, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville. 
  Charles was born Oct. 3, 1974, in White Sands, New Mexico, the son of David Boger, and Yon and Michael Hughes. 
  He married Jessica Ivie on Sept. 20, 2008, in Shelbyville, and she survives.   
  Also surviving are daughters: Carlie, age 6; and Mia, age 4; and dog, Sissy.  
  The 1969 Mustang still survived as well. 
  He leaves behind a brother , Colton Boger and sister Stephanie Salazer. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lawrence Boger. 
  Charles graduated from Shelbyville Senior High School in 1993, where he played football and ran track. Charles holds two Shelbyville Junior High School track records and two Shelbyville High School records. He was a standout football player, once rushing for over 290 yards and five touchdowns in the opening game of his senior year.   
  He was a multiyear state qualifier in the 100 M, 200 M and 4 x 100 M relay, setting records in all three events.  
  After high school, Charles and Jessica moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where Charles enrolled at Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, graduating in 1997.   
  Charles was an avid hunter, a gifted mechanic and loved being surrounded by family and friends. Charles will be deeply missed by all that knew him.   
  The family would like to thank all of the friends and former coaches for their support during this difficult time. 
  Visitation is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.   
 Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Dr. Robb Barlow officiating. 
  Burial will be at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens in Shelbyville. 
  Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Boger.
