Wilma Early, 72, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
Wilma was born March 25, 1944, in Oil Center, Kentucky, the daughter of William Thompson and Bessie (Sweet) Thompson. She married Charles Early in 1977 in Livingston, Tennessee, and he survives.
Wilma is survived by her sons: Andy Thompson and wife, Cindy, of Shelbyville; and Charles "Randy" Randolph of Shelbyville; daughters: Tina Winslow and husband, Tony, of New Palestine; and Jacala Hodnett and husband, Don, of Shelbyville; sisters: Helen Adams of Knightstown; Bonnie Rogian and husband, Mike, of Shelbyville; and Janice Stevens and husband, Roger, of Spiceland; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Hollis Thompson and Ray Thompson; and sisters, Edna Flannery and Shirley Gobel.
She was a homemaker.
Wilma loved going shopping, playing bingo and going to rummage sales.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday June 4, 2016, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 South Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Evans officiating.
Burial will be at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens
