Kim Darby, 59, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016, at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg.

Kim was born July 27, 1957, in Shelbyville. Kim was the of son of Norman E. Darby and Maxine(Crafton) Thurston. Kim was married to Marshia (Rowe) Darby on Aug. 2, 1989, and she survives.

Kim is survived by wife, Marshia (Rowe) Darby; daughter, Tiffany Darby of Shelbyville; sisters, Cindy Darby of Fairland and Debbie Johnson of Kentucky; Norma Bottom of Ohio,  Brothers:Rick Darby of Florida and James Thurston of Shelbyville Indiana.

Kim was preceded in death by his parents and step father Richard Thurston and nephew Shawn Darby

He worked as a shoe maker.

Kim loved to listen to music and enjoyed card games. He was an avid sports fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana University and Notre Dame.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, at Fairland Cemetery, with the Rev Mark Morningstar officiating.

Burial will be at Fairland Cemetery in Fairland.

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for the Darby family.

Marshia I'm so sorry to hear about Kim passing . My love and heart felt feelings go out to you and your family as I'm sure my Mom & Dad feel the same . I'm sure He's happy and free as a bird now that this terrible disease can no longer hold him down. God bless you all.

There are no words that can truly take away the pain of the loss of a loved one, all I can say is I know he'll be missed and never leave the thoughts of his true loved ones. I'm truly at a loss of words, so please take my condolences.... Douglas Blair

To my loving Sister and Niece,
I love you both very much and I am very sorry that you are having to go through this but you are not alone. I will always be there for you. Kim will be greatly missed but will always be there in our thoughts. Gone so soon some things we don't understand but the Lord has a reason for everything. Love You Both and May God Be With You.
