Irma "Juanita" Bledsoe, 80, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Major Hospital.
She was born Jan. 13, 1936, in Somerset, Kentucky, the daughter of James Chaney and Bertha (Taylor) Chaney. She married Leroy Bledsoe on Dec. 12, 1952. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Juanita is survived by three sons: Danny Bledsoe and companion, Brenda Sweet, of Edinburgh; Carl Bledsoe of Shelbyville; and Kenneth Bledsoe and companion, Vickie Reddick, of Shelbyville; two daughters: Vickie Stainbrook and companion, Robert Olinger, of Shelbyville; and Carol Ann
Bledsoe of Shelbyville; sister, Ruth Rigney of Greenwood and nephew, Allen Hewitt of Shelbyville.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. She was a true servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, and taking daily care of her daughter, Carol.
Irma was a certified nursing assistant at Heritage House for many years.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday May 16, 2016, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St, Shelbyville, IN.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at the funeral home, with Rev. Edwin Mohr officiating.
Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
