William Carl Adams, 80 of Shelbyville, IN passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis IN.

Carl was Born April 22, 1935 in Letcher County, KY.  He was the son of Burzillia Adams and Martha (Kincer) Adams.

He married Carol Ruth Gobel on December 31, 1959 and she survives.

Other survivors include his daughter Sherry (Adams) Zamora, son-in-law James Zamora and grandson Christopher Zamora of Shelbyville, IN, his son Kenneth Landry Adams and daughter-in-law Haydee Adams of Indianapolis, IN, and grand children Whitney Adams of Shelbyville, Tiffany Adams of New York City, Melissa DeJesus of Hermosa Beach, CA, and Frabricio DeJesus of Indianapolis.

Surviving brothers include Norman Adams, FL, and Astor Adams, AZ,

Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 2 brothers.

Mr. Adams attended Evangelical United Methodist Church.  He was a former employee of Indiana Bell (Ameritech).  He enjoyed traveling and fishing, however his most treasured moments were spent with his family and grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, April 22, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176. Funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home with Reverend

Tony Meads and Reverend Harvey Weaver officiating.

Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery Morristown IN.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131

Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Adams.
