Thomas  Dixon, Sr.,  75 of Shelbyville, IN passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at his residence.

Born Saturday, June 01, 1940 in Shelbyville, IN. He was the son of Robert Dixon and Fern (Rutherford) Dixon.

Thomas is survived by Son,Thomas Dixon, Jr, Daughter, Melissa Dixon, Son,Jason Smith, Son,Chris Smith, Son, Steve Smith, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, Sister, Dolly Jacobs, Shelbyville, IN, Brother, Edmond Dixon, NM, Sister, Blanche (Greg) Gibson, Indianapolis, IN, Sister, Pauline (Roy) Jacobs, Shelbyville, IN, Sister, Barbara Steele, Fountaintown, IN, Brother, Dolphus (Sherry) Dixon, Elletterville, IN, Sister, Marcia (Joe) Geiling, Shelbyville, IN,

Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by his parents, Daughter, Susan Murry, Son, David Dixon, Daughter, Christine Knight, Sister, Shirley Smith, Sister, Laverne Jacobs, Brother, Roscoe Dixon, Sister, Bea Graham.

Mr. Dixon was a semi-truck driver.

He loved being outside and doing outside activities.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery on Saturday, April 02, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Lt. Steven Delacy officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Murphy-Parks Funeral Service to assist the family with funeral expenses.

The strongest man I've ever known is finally not suffering any more and for that I'm thankful. I do miss and often think about the times we've had!!!
