Betty Jean Hauk, 84 of Shelbyville, IN died Monday, October 12, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family
Born Monday, November 10, 1930 in Shelbyville, IN, she was the daughter of Mildred (Reed) Hart.
She married Richard Hauk on March 18, 1949 and he preceded her in death on February 5, 1999.
Betty is survived by daughters - Debra Lynn Hauk, Shelbyville, IN, Melissa Jean Bowmer, Shelbyville, IN, daughter-in-law, Sandra Hauk, Kansas City, KS, grandchildren, Adrienne Hauk, Jessica Moore (fiance, Jerry Butler), Shane Lee, Robert Lee Bowmer (companion, Tori Bright), Rachel Burhans, and Niki Adams, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hauk was preceded in death by her mother, husband, son, Ronald D Hauk, and one brother.
Mrs. Hauk was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, NASCAR racing, and NCAA basketball.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the funeral home with Reverend Andy Lee officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
