Michael T. Royal, 59 of Shelbyville, died on Friday, July 24, 2015, at St. Francis Health, in Indianapolis.

He was born on September 22, 1952 in Indianapolis, to parents Earnie and Mary (Ray) Royal.

He was married to Sheila Tyree on April 30, 1971, and she passed away on December 23, 2009.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Tammy Royal-Dye and husband Eric, of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Shelissa Miller, Jessica Monroe, Cheyenne Clouse, Donetta Smith, Brock Dye, Monica Dye; and brothers, Butch, Edward, Roy and John Lockridge and David Royal, as well as three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael G. Royal.

Michael worked for Knauf Insulation for many years, before retiring due to an illness.

He was a member of Shelbyville Masonic Lodge, and always enjoyed going fishing with family and friends.

Michael was a devoted husband, father and papaw. He always took care of his family.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service.

Burial will take place at Manilla Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 4-8:00 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Home.
