Ricky W. Pierce, 49, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015.

Born March 7, 1966, in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Jim Pierce and the late Oreana Pierce.

Surviving are son, Josh Pierce; daughters, Rachel McKillop and husband, James; and Jessica Pierce and husband, Thomas, all of Shelbyville; brothers, Bo Pierce, Tony Pierce and Bobby Pierce; and sisters, Suzzane Lowe and Kate Pierce, all of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Tammy Pierce.

Mr. Pierce was a car detailer.

He enjoyed fishing.

He loved his kids and always was happy with a great sense of humor. His family was his foundation. He was a man of strong faith.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ricky Pierce Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Pierce.

I learned a lot of of great wrestling from this guy when we were in our youth, although he was twice my size and two years older! Rest in Peace Brother.

This was my grandpa and man he was a heck of a man he taught me fishing since i was 5 years old and i miss him so badly! Just wish i coulld tell him i love you one more time! Love and miss you Ricky Shay! best fishing partner ever!!!
