Jeannette Lewis, 93, of Waldron, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Major Hospital.
She was born Nov. 21, 1921, to Suzzane Blandin in Paris, France.
She was married to Herman Lewis from 1945 – 1983.
Survivors include four grandchildren: Tamara Valandingham and husband, Patrick, of Urbana, Ohio; Valonia Gregg of Shelbyville; Tyenne Price and companion, Todd Hendrickson, of Whiteland; and Chantal Merritt and husband, Mike, of Shelbyville; brother, George Blandin of Paris, France; and stepchildren, Patrick Lewis, Herman Lewis Jr. and Linda Mandrell.
She was preceded in death by her mother; husband, Herman Lewis; and daughter, Irene France Lewis.
Mrs. Lewis was a factory worker at Cinch Manufacturing Co. in Shelbyville, and retired after 32 years of service.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries.
She loved gardening and cooking.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
A graveside service will follow at Mount Hebron Cemetery in Decatur County.
Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Lewis.
