Marcella Jones, 73, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015, at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis.

She was born July 25, 1941, to Newt and Mary (Douglas) Roberts in Casey, KY.  She married Don Lee Jones Nov. 5, 1983, and he preceded her in death in 1989.

Survivors include daughters, Peggy Andrews and husband, Roger, of Fairland, Betty Richardson of Ohio and Carolyn Andrews of Madison; sons, Robert Richardson of Greensburg and Ronnie Richardson and wife, Maria, of Shelbyville; sisters, Laura Garmon and husband, Vern, of Illinois, Betty Braeden and husband, Mike, of New Albany, and Nina Calhoun of Kentucky; brothers, Tom Roberts and wife, Verna Mae, of Shelbyville and Charley Meeks of Kentucky; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren that loved her very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Roberts; and father of the children, Willie Richardson.

Mrs. Jones was retired from Village Pantry.

She was a member of Shelbyville Baptist Church.

She loved playing bingo, doing word searches, watching QVC, and her dog, Benji.  She also loved her flowers that Robert always planted for her.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the funeral home with the Rev. Greg Roberts officiating.  Burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Funeral Directors Greg A Parks, Sheila J Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Jones.
