Violet L. Hill, 79, of Waldron, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at Waldron Health and Rehab Center.
She was born Oct. 26, 1935, to Carl Williams and Margaret (Shelton) Williams in Switz City. She married Robert Hill on April 7, 1956, and he preceded her in death July 14, 2012.
Survivors include daughters: Diana Jenkins and husband, Todd, of Shelbyville; Teresa Smith and husband, Mark, of Waldron; grandchildren, Brian Smith and wife, Deona, Benji,Smith and wife, Rachael, Andy Smith, Randy Smith, James Jenkins, and Dylan Jenkins; eight great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Mary Margaret Hill, and brother, Bill Williams.
Mrs. Hill was a 1955 graduate of Manilla High School.
Violet was a member of Victory Fellowship Church.
Her grandchildren were very special to her and she loved them dearly.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at the funeral home, with the Revs. Mark Joplin and George Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery in Arlington.
Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Hill.
