Jerry Boyd Willis, 60, of Peru, former Shelbyville resident, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 24, 1954, to Earl B. Willis and Anna Faye (Williams) Willis in Shelbyville.

Survivors include his mother; sons: Jeremy Willis and wife, Rachel, of Indianapolis; and Brandon Willis of Peru; daughter, Allison Willis of Kokomo; grandchildren, Mia, Olivia, Emerson and Kaiden; and brother, Tim Willis and wife, Kathy, of Shelbyville.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Willis was an advertising salesman for radio for several years.

He enjoyed listening to music. He was an avid Purdue University and Indianapolis Colts fan.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.

Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Thurman Adams officiating.

Memorial contributions in Jerry's memory may be given to ALS Association, Indiana Chapter, 6525 E. 82nd St., Suite 115, Indianapolis, IN 46250.

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Willis.

Jerry was a very good man. He loved his family very much!!

I know Jerry as he worked for Mid-Amereica Radio Group as a gifted sales person and radio station manager. He was a person I could always count on to do his very best.

Jerry was also a man of strong faith.
