Frances G. Shadley, 92, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at Major Hospital.
She was born Aug. 24, 1922, to William Carew and Ethel (Heck) Carew in Morristown. She married Harold E. "Bud" Shadley on Dec. 27, 1945, and he preceded her in death in October 1998.
Survivors include sons: Dwain Shadley and wife, Susan, of Shelbyville; and Donald Shadley and wife, Susan, of Idaho; daughter, Rita Wainscott and husband, Fred, of Shelbyville; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Bob Carew and wife, Marilyn, of Avon; Art Carew and wife, Kaye, of Louisville, Kentucky; and Harley Carew of Waldron; and sister, Betty Courtney and husband, Don, of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers.
Mrs. Shadley was a homemaker.
She attended Day Springs Community Church, and was a member of the American Legion.
Mrs. Shadley enjoyed country-western shows, spending time with her grandkids and family and puzzle books.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Stephens officiating.
Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
