Lonnie K. Girdler, 54, passed away Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 11, 1960, to Ralph Girdler and Ella (Wesley) Girdler in Somerset, Kentucky.

Survivors include two daughters: Annie Morical and husband, Ben, of Bargersville; and Jessica Girdler and companion, Todd Childers, of Shelbyville; three sisters, Barbara Compton, Arlene Burchett and Madeline Girdler, all of Kentucky; and three brothers, Milford and Wayne Girdler, both of Shelbyville, and R.J. Girdler of Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jeanetta Slack; and brother, Tom Girdler.

He is also survived by his dog, Baby.

Mr. Girdler was a Jack-of-all-trades and fixer of needs.

He enjoyed fishing and shooting billiards.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Doug Adams officiating.

Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.

Memorial contributions honoring Lonnie may be given to Cancer Association of Shelby County, P.O. Box 844, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Girdler.

To The Girdler Family:

I will not be able to atten the service, but it was an honor to know this gentle, kind man. He was special and I loved his laugh. I hope your memories hold you close together in this time of need.

annie and ben so sorry for your loss, we know what a very special loss is ,but your loss is always more hurting in your heart you will heal slowly god works in many way to help you both .dad and I can not make the funeral but our love is always with you and ben love you both
