Delores Dean Lusk, 87, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 28, 1927, to Norman E. Osborne and Opal V. (Rowland) Smiley in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. She married Glendon G. Lusk on June 17, 1954, and he preceded her in death Nov. 6, 1996.
Survivors include son, Steven Lusk of Shelbyville; twin daughters, Brenda Polston of Flat Rock and Glenda Lusk of Shelbyville; sister, Marilyn Holmes of Escondido, California; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Ernest Osborne.
Mrs. Lusk graduated from Rushville High School in 1947.
She had belonged to the Mothers of Twins Club, Eagles Lodge No. 766 Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 70.
She was employed in Rushville as a legal secretary to the prosecuting attorney and two lawyers. She also worked at the sanitary cleaners and Plymate Cleaners, both of Shelbyville. Mrs. Lusk was secretary/treasurer for Glendon Lusk Heating & Air Conditioning. She had also been a waitress at the Knights of Columbus.
Mrs. Lusk was a member of West Street United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Reid Walker officiating.
Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be given to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E. 17th St., Columbus, IN 47201-5417.
