Damon D. “Fat Boy” Cox, 27, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born April 17, 1987, to Jammie Robertson and Tracy Cox in Indianapolis.
Survivors include his mother, Tracy Cox; companion and mother of his daughter, Anastasia Stagge; daughter, Mailecanna Cox; brothers: Michael Bishop and wife, Nita; and DeJuan Cox; sisters, Keina Price and Jasmin Satterfield; grandmother, Sylvia Collins; aunt, Michell Collins; two nephews; one niece; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Damon leaves behind his daughter, Mailecanna, whom he loved and was very proud of.
He was employed with the Shelbyville Applebee's in food preparation.
“Fat Boy,” as he was affectionately called, was known for his quick wit and good sense of humor. He always had a smile and pleasant things to talk about.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m.at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Sosbe officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Damon D. Cox Funeral Fund in care of the funeral home.
Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Cox.
