Carl Andrew Holik, 51, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014.
He was born May 28, 1963, to John Holik Jr. and Virginia (Baldwin) Holik in Granite City, Illinois.
Survivors include daughters, Brittney Holik and Twyla Jefferies, both of Shelbyville; son, Shaun Turner of Shelbyville; grandson, Grant Richard; and brothers, Steve, Johnny and Joe Holik, all of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eddie Holik.
Mr. Holik was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a truck driver for Quickway for 20 years, and most recently, for Celadon Trucking.
He was a member of American Legion Post No. 70.
Mr. Holik was always up for any outdoor activity, especially fishing.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at the funeral home.
He will be laid to rest in the Heroes of Honor & Glory Garden at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens in Shelbyville. Military rites will be performed by local veterans groups.
