Carol Louise Way, 73, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at her residence.
She was born June 2, 1941, to Irvin C. Wampner and Dorothy A. (Gordon) Wampner in Indianapolis.
Survivors include daughter, Dawn Jones and husband, Kevin, of Shelbyville; son, Scott Griffin and wife, Angela, of Maryland; grandchildren, Joshua Jones and Brandy and Andy Griffin; great-grandchild, Xavier Ornles; and brothers, Ron Wampner and Butch Wampner, both of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Way.
Carol was a bartender at The Ordinary in Wanamaker and also worked for Bowes Sealfast in Indianapolis for several years.
She followed her favorite NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart. She also was an avid Indianapolis Colts football fan and loved gardening and dancing.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given in Carol's honor to Benesse Oncology Center, Major Hospital Foundation, 150 W. Washington St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.
