Lloyd Smith

Lloyd Smith, 59, a former Shelbyville resident, passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 17 at Franklin Meadows Nursing Home in Franklin, Indiana.

He was born on Sept. 23, 1954 in Shelbyville to Frank and Bertha (Snipes) Smith.

He is survived by brothers George Smith of Whiteland and David Smith of Shelbyville and sisters Frances Campbell of Texas and Laura Burkheart of Shelbyville.

His parents and a brother, Frank Smith, Jr., preceded in death.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home, with Rev. Lonny Dunn presiding.

Burial will take place on Jan. 21, 2014 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.

Lloyd was a true believe in his Creator. He had many blessing to offer. Memorials may be given to pay for funeral expenses at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service.

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks and Sheila J. Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Smith.

My condolences to the friends, family and loved ones. Lloyd I pray you finally find the peace that we all deserve. Rest with the Lord he has freed you from your burdens and has offered you eternal life.

Lloyd came to our home with Les Fix(Our preacher now) to work on our tv(Les worked on it). we saw him around Shelbyville, always minding his own business. We will miss seeing him.

My condolences to Lloyd's family. He is in Heaven now, and not being harrassed. He was a nice man, just misunderstood. Fly high Lloyd.
