Ina L. Boyd Kittle, 83, of Franklin, died September 1, 2013, at Franklin United Methodist Community.
She was born September 13, 1929, to Herman F. Staten and Gertrude (Smith) Staten in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Survivors include: sons, H. Eugene (Becky) Boyd of Boggstown, Ken (Pam) Boyd of Indianapolis; granddaughters, Gina Fisher, Katie Boyd; grandson, Sam Boyd; great-grandchildren, Tony, Nick and Lydia Fisher; sisters, Mary Martin of Needham and Linda Ross of McCordsville.
She was preceded in death by: father, Herman Staten; mother, Gertrude (Smith) Staten; grandson, David Boyd; brother, Herman Staten; and sister, Julia Hopkins.
She worked for Western Electric for 15 years until she retired in 1991. Dancing and skating were her favorite pastime, when she was able to participate.
In her later years, she was an avid reader, but always found time for her puzzle books and crocheting.
She was known as MAMAW to her family and specially her grandchildren always had a special place in her heart.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2013, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Robert Prather officiating.
Burial will be in the Fairland Cemetery in Fairland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the David Boyd Scholarship in care of Blue River Foundation, 54 West Broadway St., Shelbyville.
Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks and Sheila J. Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Kittle.

Dear Gene, Becky, Kenny, & Pam,
I am so sorry about Ina's death. She was a good woman. She always treated us girls like we were her girls. I know she never got over losing Dad, but now she is in heaven with him. She will be greatly missed. We all loved her like a mom. If you guys need anything call me 317-222-9423. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Rest in peace Ina!

Aunt Ina was loved and will be missed by many. She was the kindest woman and she loved people with all her heart. Rest in peace Aunt Ina.

Dear family,
My heart is heavy with your feelings of loss. Remember always your special lady was loved and loved you all in return. She will be missed , and thought about quite often.
