John Anthony Price, 82, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at St. Augustine's Home in Indianapolis.

He was born June 13, 1930, in Shelbyville and was the son of Dr. Clarence John and Bernadine (Henry) Price. He was married to Charlotte (Snow) Price Aug. 4, 1956, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shelbyville, and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage.

He is survived by three children, Thomas (wife, Ronnett) Price, Ann (husband, Kevin) Stickford and Anthony (wife, Jennifer) Price.; and five grandchildren, Ashley and Samuel Reed and Alexander, Adam and Chloe Price.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas and Patrick Price; and sisters, Lucinda (Price) Hamberg and Jocephine Ellen Price.

John graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1948 and University of Dayton in 1955 where he pursued his passion of playing baseball. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. He co-owned and operated Amertic Products, Inc.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Little Sisters of the Poor, staff and their many friends at St. Augustine's Home who provided such loving care to John and support to their family during the past 2 1/2 years.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at St. Augustine's Home, 2345 W. 86th St., Indianapolis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine's Home.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Shelbyville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Augustine's Home at Little Sisters of the Poor of Indianapolis, 2345 W. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46260.

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart H. Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Price.

Celebrating a life well lived. I will cherish such wonderful memories for the rest of my life. The bond, strength, love and faith of John's family will guide them through this journey. Ann, I love you dearly and will always be here for you.
