Bertha "Bert" H. Fisher, 89, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Ashford Place Health Campus.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1923, in Orange Township Rush County to Thomas Prill and Dorothy (Brickman) Prill. She married Donald D. Fisher on April 9, 1960.
Survivors include her husband, Donald D. Fisher; a son, Steve (Claudine Arnes) Thibo of Indianapolis; a daughter, Jan, (Max) Lux of Shelbyville; a grandson Donald (Michelle) Lux; granddaughters Amy (Eric M.) Harley and Kristen (Jason) Spriggs; a great-grandson, Joseph Lux; great-grandchildren Alyxandria Vincent and Taylor Harley; and sisters Thelma Jean Myer of Manilla and Doris Ruschhaupt of Shelbyville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Prill and mother, Dorothy (Brickman) Prill.
Bertha graduated from Waldron High School class of 1942.
She was employed at the State Bank of Waldron for 35 years. She was a member of the Moscow Christian Church in Rush County.
She enjoyed her time on the Ohio River boating but her heart was at their summer house in St. Germain, Wisc.
Her relationship with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the most precious gift she ever received.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Murphy-Parks Service and Crematory with the Revs. Michael Harley and Mark Westner officiating. Burial will be at Moscow Cemetery in Milroy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Moscow Christian Church.
