Carl O. Tucker, Jr., 74, of Shelbyville, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Heritage House Convalescant Center.
He was born September 8, 1938, to Carl O. Tucker Sr. and Alvie (Sullivan) Tucker in Indianapolis.
Survivors include: several brothers and sisters; several step-brothers and sisters; Becky Lutton, of Evansville, Indiana; Charles Tucker, of Shelbyville, Indiana; Betty Lollar, of Shelbyville, Indiana; Cinda Pile, of Shelbyville, Indiana; Linda Anderson, of Shelbyville, Indiana; Angela Fraley, of Shelbyville, Indiana; Terry Shadley, of Shelbyville, Indiana; Mark Shadley, of Shelbyville, Indiana; Tommy Tucker, of Shelbyville, Indiana; Betty Aldridge, of Indianapolis, Indiana; Joyce Linville, of Milroy, Indiana; Darlene Young, of Shelbyville, Indiana; Edna Johnson, of Kentucky; and two step-children.
He was preceded in death by both parents; and sister, Beverly (Tucker) Ragsdale.
He was employed for 20 years as a taxi driver. Mr. Tucker very much enjoyed his family. During his 20 years of driving a taxi in Shelbyville, he had the opportunity to meet and share in a friendship with many people.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Mach 12, 2013, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Fraley officiating. Burial will be at Union Chapel Cemetery in St. Paul.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carl O. Tucker Jr. Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
