Edna P. Thomas, 90, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Morristown Manor.
She was born June 14, 1922, to Samuel Boyd Lenoir and Mattie (Watkins) Lenoir in Carriere, Miss. She married Marion E. Thomas on July 17, 1944, and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1994.
Survivors include daughters, Brenda (husband, Wilbur) Higgins and Linda "Susie" Sheets, both of Shelbyville; sons, Robert "Buddy" (wife, Patti) Thomas of Indianapolis, Reggie (wife, Linda) Thomas of Bowling Green, Ky., Reed Thomas of Fairland, Doug (wife, Connie) Thomas of Shelbyville and Kenny Thomas of Shelbyville; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, two sisters and a grandson.
Mrs. Thomas worked at Cinch Manufacturing Company in Shelbyville. She loved gardening and was an Indiana University and Indiana Pacers fan.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at the funeral home with the Rev. Edwin Mohr officiating.
Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
