Chris "Wilma" Johnson, 53, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at her home.

She was born Oct. 10, 1959, to Carlie Johnson and Emma (Brown) Johnson in Shelbyville.

Survivors include son, Jeremy (wife, Kelly) Johnson of St. Paul; granddaughter, Ashton Johnson; grandson, Braden Barnard; great-grandchildren, Kinley Shepard and Emrey Shepard; sisters, Wanda Shepherd of Shelbyville, Janice Burgmeier of Greensburg, Betty (husband, Rusty) Koenigkramer of New York, Linda Stafford of Shelbyville and Loraine Johnson of Kokomo; brothers, Gene (wife, Mary) Johnson and William (wife, Phylis) Johnson, all of Shelbyville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Forrestine Johnson and brother, Wendall Johnson.

Ms. Johnson worked for Loper Elementary School in Shelbyville as a custodian. She enjoyed reading, playing games, walking and most of all, spending time with her family.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.

Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Evans officiating.

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart H. Parks are honored to conduct the services for Ms. Johnson.

My Deepest sympathy to Jeremy and the Family, I Dearly Love Chris she was a very devoted Friend for Many yrs. & altho we disconnected many yrs. Times we seen one another was like no time passed at all That's Friendship!!!!!! May She Rest in Peace & will see you again one day Chris<3 God Bless you & All your Famiy & Friends!!
