Preston Shaw, 70, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Major Hospital.

He was born Aug. 5, 1942, to Isaac Ray Shaw Sr. and Sarah Melealene (Morning) Shaw in Shelbyville.

Survivors include son, James R. (Shaw) Ottinger of Indianapolis, son, Jerry J. V. (Shaw) Ottinger of Indianapolis, son, Douglas B. Shaw of Shelbyville, daughter, Prestina Ann Moulton of Shelbyville, daughter, Brandy Nicole Hash of Indianapolis and daughter, Angela Dawn Tucker of Shelbyville; 11 grandchildren; brother, Isaac Ray Shaw Jr. of Indianapolis, sister, Cordelia A. Shaw Goodwin of Brown County, sister, Marcella M. Loudenbach of Franklin, and sister, Izetta K. Spears of Shelbyville.

Mr. Shaw had been employed as a factory worker at Caterpillar until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of First Baptist Church, VFW and American Legion Post #70.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.

Funeral services will follow at 12 noon on Friday, with Brother David Love officiating.

Burial will be at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens in Shelbyville.

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart H. Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Shaw.
