Elizabeth "Betty" Reuter, 92, of Fairland, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at her daughter's residence in Grand Ledge, Mich.

She was born Jan. 16, 1920, to William Deiwert and Dorothy (Gosh) Deiwert in Jennings Co. She married Raphael Reuter on Aug. 19, 1939, and he preceded her in death on June 11, 1995.

Survivors include sons, Steve (wife, Susan) Reuter of Indianapolis, Tom (wife, Mary) Reuter of Fairland, Mark (wife, Laura) Reuter of Noblesville and Matthew Reuter; daughter, Dorothy (husband, Preston) Childs of Grand Ledge; grandchildren, Tom, William, Nicholas (wife, Melissa), Ben, Nathaniel, Maggie, Miranda, Leigh Anne, John, Betsy, Julie, Jennifer (husband, Christopher), Joshua, Jillian (husband, Tony) and Jeanie; great-grandchildren, Layla and Addison; and sisters-in-law, Rebadene Deiwert and Mary Reuter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Ardell Deiwert and John Deiwert.

Mrs. Reuter was a lifetime farm wife and mother. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Anne's Alter Society.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Creatory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St., Shelbyville, with Father Aaron Pfaff, Father John Maung, Father Leon Reuter and Father Chris Reuter as celebrants.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Shelbyville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E. 17th St., Columbus, IN 47201.

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart H. Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Reuter.
