Terry Lee Simmons, 63 of Indian Trail, North Carolina, passed away December 3, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus, Indiana. Mr. Simmons was a former resident of Shelbyville. 
	 
	He was born October 24, 1949, in Shelbyville, Indiana, to Gerald (Jerry) Simmons and Florence (Niesse) Simmons in Shelby County. He married Claudia Law on May 3, 1975, and she survives in Indian Trail, North Carolina. 
	 
	Survivors include: sons, Shawn Simmons, of Shelbyville, Aaron Simmons, of Greenfield, and Kevin Simmons, of Indian Trail; grandson, Lane Simmons, of Greenfield; sisters, Nancy (husband, Norman) Hasecuster, of Greenfield, Mary Jane (husband, Charles) Plymate, of Evansville; step-sisters, Rose (husband, Rusty) McAdams, of Franklin, Marilyn (husband, Fred) Mallory, of Churchville, Pa., and Wanda (husband, Jim) Fergusor, of Edinburgh. 
	 
	He was preceded in death by step-mother, Agnes Simmons; sisters Pat Armstrong and Ida Rork; brothers Gerald (Sonny) Simmons, Steve Simmons and Clement Simmons; father, Gerald (Jerry) Simmons; and mother, Florence (Niesse) Simmons. 
	 
	Mr. Simmons served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. 
	 
	He was employed as a manufacturing manager at Standard Register. 
	 
	Mr. Simmons was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #766 and American Legion Post #70, all of Shelbyville. 
	 
	Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. 
	 
	Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory. 
	Burial will be in Heroes of Honor & Glory Veterans Garden at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens & Crematory with military rites conducted by local veterans organizations.  
	Funeral directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart H. Parks are honored to conduct the service for Mr. Simmons.
