Rosalie Baker, 89, of Greenfield, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at the Brandywine Nursing and Rehab Center in Greenfield.
She was born Nov. 8, 1922, to John and Versa (Sullivan) Bowers in Monticello, Ill. She married Francis Eugene "Bud" Baker on May 24, 1952. He preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 2004.
Survivors include sons David Witham of Boggstown and Robert Alan Leslie of Florida; daughters Jean Lewis, San Antonio, Tex., Sherri Greenberg of Arizona and Marcia Osman of Lafayette; step-sons Thomas Baker of New Palestine and William Baker of Shelbyville; sisters Bonnie Jeffries and Lena Mae Keel of Shelbyville; 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Rita Cherry, five brothers and two sisters.
She worked at a garment factory and then was employed at Sears for 25 years.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory.
Burial will take place Wednesday Oct. 31, 2012 at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
Funeral directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart H. Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Baker.
