Helen L. Browning, 77, of Fairland, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born Jan. 30, 1935, in Tennessee to Dewey Hix and Mary O'Dell (Warden) Hix.
Survivors include her son, Mark (wife, Jill) Browning of Fountaintown; daughter, Rhonda (husband, David) Billman of London, Ind.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers; and four sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven Browning; and a sister.
Mrs. Browning was a member of Shelbyville Church of Christ.
She worked at Hoosier Gasket Co. in Indianapolis from 1967 to 1999.
She enjoyed fishing.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 25, 2012, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Burial will be at Acton Cemetery.
Funeral directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Browning.

I was so sorry to hear of Helen''s passing. She was one of my
favorite patients! She was such a sweet lady and I will miss seeing
her. I am glad I had the opportunity to know her. My thoughts and
prayers are with your family during this difficult time.
