Janet Kay Winkler, 65, of Shelbyville, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at Ashford Place Health Campus in Shelbyville.

She was born Sept. 17, 1946, in Shelbyville to Rolland J. and Virginia (Hildebrand) Mark. She married Ronnie Ray Winkler on Sept. 11, 1965, and he survives in Shelbyville.

Other survivors include sons Anthony (wife, Angela) Winkler, Benjamin (wife, Kileen) Winkler and Matthew (wife, Kimberly) Winkler, all of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother.

Janet was a homemaker. She member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Shelbyville. She worked for the Fashion Factory Outlet for 10 years and enjoyed reading and making ceramics.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Home, 703 S. Harrison St. Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at the funeral home with Father John Maung officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of South Central Indiana in Janet's honor.

My thoughts and prayers are going out to the entire Winkler family during this most difficult time!! I am so sorry for your loss!! Janet was a sweet lady!! I am privileged to have known her!!

Ben & Kileen: Sending all my positive thoughts, prayers, love and support to the both of you. I am sorry but I will not be able to make the funeral. I am here for you guys if there is anything I can do!! I Love you guys!!

Katie: You are my best friend!! I am always here for you no matter what!! I am only a call or a text away!! Don't you ever forget that!! I am sorry that I won't be able to be there for you during the funeral!! Hang in there girl!! I Love you!!
