Wayne Richard Knight, 71, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.

Wayne was the son of Glen Knight Sr. and Irene M. (Sweet) Knight, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include sisters, Ruth Knight, Rosamond Sosbe and June Knight; and brother, Eddie Knight, all of Shelbyville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Knight and Glen Knight Jr.; and sisters, Evelyn Durbin, Betty Weddle and Mary Hodson.

Wayne enjoyed listening to music. He attended church services every Sunday at Heritage House.

His greatest satisfaction came from enjoying mother nature.

He took great pride in his work as an assembler at Shares Inc.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012,at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2012, at the funeral home,with Robert Prather officiating.

Burial will follow the service Monday at Second Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin.

Condolences to the family on the passing Of Wayne. He was loved by many and I don't think he knew a stranger. He was very friendly to all. I will miss Wayne as I know many will as well. God Bless!
