Linda Maye Rhoades, 65, of Shelbyville, died Friday, June 8, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 13, 1946 to Roy E. and Anna Irene (Mull) Jones in Indianapolis. She married Jerry Lee Stainbrook on Feb. 20, 1965. She married Glenn Martin Rhoades on May 6, 2000, and he preceded her in death on April 2, 2011.
Survivors include daughters, Jacinda Jill Stainbrook of Indianapolis and Julianna Lynn Glover of Shelbyville; son James Paul Stainbrook of Columbus; sister, Cinda Jones Bonner of Columbus; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Rhoades; parents; and sister, Constance Gail McClain.
Mrs. Rhoades was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Women of the Moose and American Legion Auxiliary. Her grandchildren brought her great happiness. Attending church activities gave her great peace. Her hobbies were her crafts and spending time with her flowers.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Simpson officiating.
Burial will be at Norristown Cemetery in Flat Rock.
