Perry W. Sturges, 58, of Shelbyville died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Born Sept. 2, 1953, in Marion, he was the son of Harry James and Angieturrah (Reed) Sturges. He married Susan Uberto, and she survives.
Other survivors include sons, Tommy Terry and Kyle Sturges, both of Shelbyville; several brothers and sisters; and granddaughter, Makayla Terry.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Sturges was a truck driver for USF and Holland Motor Express.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2695.
A gathering of friends will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., with military rites at 1 p.m. conducted by local veterans organizations.
