Margaret L. Poe, 78, of Indianapolis, a former Shelbyville resident, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Nov. 29, 1933, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Kenneth Leon and Elizabeth (Bloucher) Coffey. She married Ronald Eugene Poe on Dec. 21, 1954, and he passed away on July 9, 2004.
Survivors include daughters, Barbara (James) Johnson of Shelbyville, Marlene (Billy) Sands of Kentucky, Patricia Raines of Franklin and Sandra Chang and Marsha (Mike Wickline) Poe, both of Indianapolis; sons, Warren Poe, Christopher Poe and Rodney (Gloria) Poe, all of Indianapolis; brothers, Larry Coffey and Joe Coffey, both of Shelbyville, and Jimmie Coffey of Greenwood; sisters, Sharon Kidwell of Martinsville and Sarah Loveless; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren;
She also was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson.
Mrs. Poe was a homemaker and a babysitter.
Margaret was an avid dog and bird lover.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
