Forrest L. Burford, 70, of Shelbyville died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at his residence.

Born July 23, 1941, in Anderson, he was the son of Herman Forrest and Ella Mae (Meade) Burford. He married Corrine Butler, and she survives.

Other survivors include daughters, Cindy Campbell of North Carolina and Catrina Duncan of Australia; sons, Shannon Burford of Morristown and Daymond Burford of Rensselaer; brother, Charles Burford; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two children.

Mr. Burford was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was employed at Rand McNally in Indianapolis for 33 years, retiring in 1994.

Mr. Burford had served as deacon and trustee of Fellowship Baptist Church and on the board of directors of Trinicon Outreach Ministries. He also was a member of the Blue River Valley Antique Tractor Club.

He enjoyed the fellowship with friends at The Chaperral Cafe.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18th,  at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.

A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19th,  at the funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Smith officiating.
