Shirley Faye Williams, 70, of Waldron died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.
Born March 21, 1941, in Alabama, she was the daughter of Frank Stapler and Virgie (Guthrie) McKelvey. She married Joseph R. Williams, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Gary Broyles and John Broyles, both of Alabama; daughters, Lisa (David) Walker of Waldron and Debra Broyles of Alabama; sisters, Micky (Tony) Myers, Cathy Turner and Donnie (Clyde) Schultz, all of Alabama; brothers, Ronnie Stapler of Michigan and Kenneth (Betty) Stapler of Maryland; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister.
Mrs. Williams was a homemaker.
Shirley's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the sunshine of her life. She enjoyed all kinds of flowers, Bingo and playing poker and rummy with family members. Annie May and Molly Jo, her daughter's dogs, held a special place in her heart.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with a private family burial following the service.
