Chrissy Dawn Gilles, 31, of Waldron, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011.
She was born on October 21, 1979, and was the daughter of Debra Densmore Gilles of Shelbyville and Don Gilles of Waldron.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Floyd "Duke" Densmore, and both paternal grandparents, Herman and Leona Gilles, as well as three paternal uncles.
Chrissy was the mother of three beautiful children, Brittany Baker, Bryce Flippen and Myra Corbin, who all attend Waldron Schools, and the aunt of three handsome nephews, Tyler Gilles, Grant Gilles, and Mason Gilles. She is survived by her children, nephews and parents, along with her siblings, Kevin Gilles and wife, Jamie, of Shelbyville and Jessica Gilles of Blue Ridge. Other survivors include the father of her children, Dave Corbin of Waldron; grandmother, Anice Densmore; uncles, Steve Densmore, Joe Gilles, Ron Gilles, and Steve Gilles; aunts, Jean Kelsay and husband, Russell and Teresa Densmore Carpenter; and special friend, Dustin Carter.
Chrissy was a stay-at-home mom who enjoyed to the fullest time with her children at every opportunity. Fun-filled family vacations, visiting family and friends, and helping others were always being planned for her and her children. Chrissy thrived on helping anyone and everyone she knew who might need it; and on more that one occasion, she was known to reach our to struggling families to offer her heart, ear and advice.
Chrissy had attended Waldron Junior-Senior High School.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday. Burial will take place at Blue Ridge Cemetery directly following services on Monday.
