Earl “Buck” Harris, 80, of Boggstown, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Born Nov. 30, 1930, in Kentucky, he was the son of Jim and Mary (Watson) Harris.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Marsha Harris; four sisters, including his twin sister, Pearl Lynn; and three brothers.

Mr. Harris had been a farm hand and had worked at the grain elevator in Boggstown for several years.

He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Salem Cemetery in Liberty, Ky., with graveside military rites conducted.

My condolences go out to buck and his family were all gonna miss him dearly, i have known buck since i was about 4yrs. old he was a big part of my family life when i was a child. He was loved by my whole faamily and will be missed dearly.

Our prayers are with the family and Mary Jo. at this time. We will miss Buck but we know that he is a peace.

Uncle Buck was truely, "One of a kind." If you'd ever had the pleasure of meeting him...you'd never forget him. Buck was also fortunate to have such wonderful friends that looked after him and cared for him. May he rest in peace.
