William A. Donica Sr., 79, of Shelbyville died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at his residence.

Born March 27, 1932, in Connersville, he was the son of Marion A. and Charlotte (Griffey) Donica. He married Dorothy Mae Perry in 1951, and she passed away in 1989. He married Roberta A. Perry on April 13, 1990, and she survives.

Other survivors include son, William A. (Betty) Donica Jr. of Shelbyville; daughter, Janet G. (Mike) Hatcher of St. Paul; stepson, Lyle (Teresa) Linville of Shelbyville; stepdaughters, Lora Tichenor and Lydia Thompson, both of Indianapolis; sister, Mae Halstead of Lakeland, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Donica was the co-owner of Midwest Music Co.

Bill loved to go fishing and playing cards, and he thoroughly enjoyed his grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions honoring Bill may be made to the Shelby County Cancer Association, P.O. Box 844, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
