 Aaron K. Bilyeu, 68, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 at his residence.

  He was born in Slidell, LA on March 7, 1951 to Paul E. Bilyeu and Lois ‘Lucy’ (Thomas) Bilyeu.

  On October 29, 1994, he married Debby (Wells) Bilyeu, and she survives.

  Aaron is also survived by his daughter, Shellody Brenton (David); son, Daron Bilyeu (Melissa); daughter, Wendy Rich; son, Gary Conover (Dolores); grandchildren, Ryon Rich, Kaleb Stauffer, Jacob Stauffer, Tyler Rich, Riley Brenton, Jaxon Conover, Owen Brenton, Brandon Bilyeu and Nathan Bilyeu; brothers, Phillip Bilyeu, Bobby Bilyeu and Tom Bilyeu.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Raymond Bilyeu and Paul ‘Bump’ Bilyeu.

  He graduated from Shakamak High School and was an I.U. graduate.

  Aaron was the Veteran’s Representative for the State of Indiana.  He spent 12 years in the Marine Corps, receiving the rank of Chief Warrant Officer.  He received 2 purple hearts.

  He was a member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge.  Aaron was a licensed drug and alcohol abuse counselor.  He enjoyed gardening, I.U. Basketball, going to flea markets, art, and attending musicals.

  Burial will be at a later date in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens and Crematory, Heroes of Honor and Glory section with military rites.

  Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Aaron’s family.
