Leon  Richart 81 of St. Paul, IN passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at  his residence.

Born January 17, 1934 in Cazenovia, WI, he was the son of Fredrick Richart and
Alvina (Jax) Richart.

Leon  is survived by  Son - Jeff (Tammy) Richart, Waldron, IN, Daughter, Jodi Weintraut, Shelbyville, , Grandchild - Sydnee Weintraut, and Loyal Companion Dog "Marty",

He  was preceded in death by his parents, his  brother - Fredrick (Fritz)
Richart, sister - Mary (Richart) Nimmo.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War.

He moved to Shelbyville in 1963 and worked for Indiana Silo sales and
services.  In July 1974 he started Richart Silo Sales and Service.

Leon was a big part of supplying snowmobiles to the Shelby County Sheriff's
Department during the blizzard of 1978.

He also owned and operated Richart Suzuki until he moved back to Mercer,
Wisconsin in 1981 to open up Richart's Mini-Mart and later his snowmobile
rental business.

Mr. Richart retired in 1997 and moved to Florida to enjoy his retirement.
His leisure activities were snowmobiling and fishing.

He 2006 he returned  to Shelbyville to spend time with his family.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from  4:00 PM 8:00 PM at
Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2015 10:00 AM  at the
funeral home with Bruce Banister officiating.

Burial will be in Heores of Honor and Glory at Whispering Hope Memorial
Gardens & Crematory.  Graveside military rites conducted will be by local
veterans organizations.

Memorial contributions may be given to Shelby County Animal Shelter, 705
Hale Road, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the
services for Mr. Richart.
