SMITH, Robert S., age 92, formerly of New Lebanon, OH. and Troy, OH. died Sunday, May 1, 2011 in Brookville, OH. He was born in Lewisburg, OH. on Nov. 12, 1918 to Roy and Anna (McNelly) Smith. He was a graduate of University of Cincinnati and was a WWII Army-Air Corp veteran. He worked for many years as a civil engineer at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, retiring in 1972. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ellen Smith in 1989 and second wife, Bernice Smith. He is survived by 3 daughters, Marydell Rogers, Roswell, GA., Jane (Rick) Jacobs, Alamosa, CO., and Betty (Bruce) Brownlee, Dallas, TX., 3 grandsons, Michael Rogers, Richard R. Jacobs and Robert A. Jacobs. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Sano. A private service was held at the convenience of the family.
