STANZE, Donald M., age 74 of Camden, OH. died Sun. May 1, 2011  in Middletown at Hospice of Butler/Warren Counties.  He was born in Gratis, OH. on June 28, 1936 to Howard and Aileen (Miller) Stanze.  He was a graduate of Gratis High School and had retired from Armco Steel in Middletown.  He was a 60 year member of First Brethren Church in Gratis and held many offices including Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He served many years in the National Guard.  He was also a member of I.O.O.F. Eden Lodge #147 and held the state office of Grand Master from 2002 to 2003.  He loved fishing and also cooking and his hobbies included gardening and crocheting.  He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mae Fern (Denlinger)  Stanze, 5 children, Danny (Diana) Richardson, Phoenix, AZ, Debra Stanze, Eaton, OH., Melanie (Brian) Pierce, Eaton, OH., Rebecca (Larry) Kemplin, Trenton, OH., Darren (Kathy) Stanze, W. Carrollton, OH., 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 half sisters, Margaret (Bill) Goodman, Union, OH., Gerri (Tony) Dack, San Diego, CA., half brother, Howard (Marty) Stanze Jr., Eaton, OH. and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Fri. May 6, 2011 at First Brethren Church in Gratis, OH. with Pastor Dan Denlinger and Pastor Bob Shannon officiating.  Burial will be held in Fairview Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Thurs. from 5-8PM.
